The Friday episode of Rajan Shahi's "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" started with Akshara wishing Manjari on her anniversary. Manjari had just come from the temple and Akshara assumed that Harsh must have gone with her.
She asks Manjari if Harsh is parking the car, to which she replies that he couldn't go with her because of some work. Akshara then tells her that but they must party to which Manjari tells her that everyone is so busy with their work, that she doesn't want to disturb them with a party.
Akshara realises that Manjari wants to have a celebration for her anniversary but is only saying no because of others. Manjari then meets Abhimanyu and asks him if he is not going to wish her to which he tells her that a punishment doesn't need congratulations.
Manjari tells him that this marriage brought him into her life and she couldn't have asked for more. She then asks him to promise that on this day he won't get into an argument with Harsh.Abhimanyu tells her that he will try to leave to meet Akshara.
Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she should apologise to him for ruining their romantic night by creating a mess in the room. They then notice Harsh standing there and Akshara wishes him on his anniversary. Harsh thanks her and leaves from there.Abhimanyu then tells Akshara that he will try to come back early.
Meanwhile, at the Goenka house, the family learns that Akshara's music department is being shut down. Manish tells them that he had his thoughts after seeing Mahima, Aanand, and Harshvardhan come out from the meeting.
Kairav tells them he is shocked especially after Akshara is planning a surprise for Harsh and Manjari. Aarohi informs them that nobody knows about it, it was just that an intern heard them and informed her about it.
Aarohi leaves for the hospital and meets Rudra there. He thanks her for treating him and tells her that his father is interested in the medical field and wants to open a hospital. He tells her that he wants her to join it.
Aarohi remembers Akshara getting married and how everyone at the hospital was saying how good she is. Rudra then asks her to come for a party at his farm house, and Aarohi replies that she will think about it. Abhimanyu then hears Rudra telling someone over the phone that he was able to convince Aarohi to come for the party.
Aarohi reaches home and is giving herself the pep talk that she has to be no. 1, just then she gets a message from Rudra saying that together they will build the best hospital in the city. Abhimanyu is in a hurry to reach home. A hospital staff member comes to him with sweets and tells him that it's her anniversary.
We then see a young Abhimanyu decorating a cake and waiting for Harsh to come. Once he sees his father he asks him to cut the cake but he refuses to. Harsh tells Manjari that he is trapped in this marriage and has no option but to bear her. He tells her that he hates her. Abhimanyu throws the cake and tells Harsh that he hates him.
At present, Abhimanyu has tears in his eyes remembering that incident. He promises himself that he won't let Akshara suffer the way his mother did.He is heard saying that he will take Akshara for the conference as well as for the honeymoon.
