The Friday episode of Rajan Shahi's "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" started with Abhimanyu stopping Akshara's arrest. He tells Harshvardhan that he looked at it as an opportunity to do some wrong to Akshara while he was missing. Harshvardhan asks him to not interfere in between and asks him if he knows the whole truth. Abhimanyu tells him that Akshara is not going anywhere, in fact no one is leaving the house.
He looks at Aarohi and tells her no one is getting arrested. He apologises to the police and tells them that his mother doesn't want to lodge a complaint.
Akshara thanks Abhimanyu but when Aarohi thanks him, he tells her that he did not do it for her but for Akshara. He tells her that Akshara's relationships are important to him and that's why he saved her.
Harshvardhan asks him why is he giving them such a special treatment when what they did affected his mother. Aanand too tells him that they need to take disciplinary action against them but Abhimanyu tells them that they can't do that because nothing happened in the hospital premises.
Harshvardhan tells him that it looks like he has forgotten about his mother because of Akshara. Abhimanyu tells him that he should not talk about what Manjari likes and what she doesn't because he has no idea about it. Manjari then tells them that she doesn't want to file a complaint.
Abhimanyu then asks Aarohi if she realises what she has done. He tells her that she has lost her mother and should have understood the pain but she left his mother on the road.
He tells her that she should thank her stars that she is Akshara's sister, the sister whom she is always jealous with, the sister whom she keeps insulting every now and then. He then tells the Goenkas that they should now start seeing the reality that Aarohi is always emotionally manipulating Akshara, she is always taunting her on Sirat's name.

Harshardhan interrupts him and tells him that Akshara deserves to be punished. Abhimanyu tells him why Akshara should be punished when Aarohi was driving. He asks him if it is because they are getting married against his wish.
Harshvardhan tells him what he is talking about because Akshara just accepted that she was driving the car. Abhimanyu looks at Akshara in shock and tells everyone that before people start saying something else, he wants to tell them that he will marry Akshara but he doesn't want Aarohi to become a part of it.
He then asks Akshara to choose between him and Aarohi and leaves from there. The Goenkas are shocked to hear Abhimanyu's condition but Manish speaks in support of Abhimanyu and tells them that he is not wrong.
He tells them Abhimanyu has rightly asked Akshara to choose between him and Aarohi, because Aarohi has been taking advantage of Akshara for far too long. He tells Akshara to choose her love and inform Abhimanyu. Akshara is in tears and doesn't know what to do.
