All party representatives appeal to the people of the State to maintain peace in Rajasthan

Udaipur Tailor Kanhaiya Lal Murder : Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot appealed to the representatives of all the political parties and people of the state to extend cooperation in maintaining peace. He said that Rajasthan has always been the state of communal harmony and peace.

It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain this glorious tradition here. He said that the Udaipur incident was not a religious incident, but a terrorist incident. The criminals have links with the international organisations involved in illegal activities. The state government will get the criminals punished severely without delay. We all should get united and condemn such incidents peacefully.

Shri Gehlot was addressing an all party meeting organised at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday evening. He said that the parties in the tense atmosphere should make efforts to maintain peace and brotherhood by keeping aside the political ideologies.

The Chief Minister said that even during the corona period, all parties had come together and made efforts to fight the grave situation. Religious leaders, political parties, various voluntary organisations as well as the general public had cooperated.

He said today we must come together in the same way and fight the criminals spreading fear and terror. There is no need for the general public to be afraid of criminals and threats, the state government is with them in every situation.

Shri Gehlot said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered the case. Rajasthan SOG and ATS will extend full cooperation in the investigation. Congratulating the Rajasthan police, he said that the police team has set an example by making immediate arrests. He condemned the assault on police personnel in Bhim of Rajsamand.

The CM assured the people of the State that the way the criminals were punished by taking prompt action in many cases of POCSO Act, similarly strict action would be taken in Udaipur and other cases as well. The dependent family will be provided ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh.

Rajasthan setting up an example in maintaining peace Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr C P Joshi said that representatives of the parties should give messages to the booth level workers to maintain peace.

We all should set the example of Rajasthan in the country by maintaining peace. He suggested ways to prevent cybercrime, to monitor the content on social media and to create a strong cyber intelligence system.

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee state president Govind Singh Dotasara said that police took prompt action in this inhuman incident. Now the people of the state should come ahead to protect the legacy of harmony of Rajasthan with commitment. It is the responsibility of the political parties not to play politics at such a time and should stand strongly and alertly with the government.

Maintain peace, criminals will be punished harshly Minister of State for Home Rajendra Singh Yadav appealed to the people of the State to maintain peace. He said that political parties getting united should make an appeal to the people of the state to maintain peace.

All criminals involved in the Udaipur incident will be punished harshly. Incident not related with any religion, caste or community

Rashtriya Lok Dal representative and Minister of State for Technical Education Dr Subhash Garg said this is a terrorist incident and it does not seem linked with any caste, religion or community.

It becomes the responsibility of political parties to give the message of solidarity with the state government in such a situation. CPI (M) representative Balwan Punia said that the party strictly condemns such terror incident. Strict action should be taken against those trying to crush the constitution.

Support from all parties Bharatiya Janata Party representative and former minister Arun Chaturvedi said that the Rajasthan police have immediately arrested the criminals. The government should make efforts in getting these criminals punished then only the crime will stop in the state. There will be support from the parties.

MLA Shri Sanyam Lodha said that the government immediately formed SIT after the incident.

Thanking the Rajasthan Police, he said that we have to stop the origin of the incidents. He appealed to give messages of brotherhood on social media. MLA Shri Rajkumar Gaur condemning this incident, thanked the Rajasthan police team. He said that there was peace in the entire state on the second day of the incident.

Rampal Jat said that such incidents are a challenge to the entire country. In such a situation it is our responsibility to prevent communal frenzy erupting from it. There should be fear of punishment among the criminals.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Ramlal Sharma appealed to the people of the state to post messages to maintain harmony instead of expressing resentment on social media. He said that victims should get justice and criminals should get punishment.

Appeal to maintain harmony CPI (M) state secretary Amraram said that the heart wrenching incident is condemned in this peaceful state. Rajasthan should be made an example in the entire country by getting the criminals punished at the earliest then only there will be fear among the criminals.

CPI secretary Shri Narendra Acharya appealing to maintain harmony said that Rajasthan is famous for maintaining communal harmony. An example should be set by getting immediate punishment to criminals in such incidents then only such incidents will not repeat.

Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, Director General of Police ML Lather, Additional Chief Secretary Home Abhay Kumar and other police and administrative senior officers were present in the meeting.
